Every year more than 400+ Movies release in India but not every movie pays off; Some movies perform excellently, some average while some of them turn out to be disasters. Here is the list of top 10 such movies which are supposedly the biggest disasters in the industry.
1. Bombay Velvet
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma alongside Karan Johar and K.K Memon. This is one of the biggest disasters in the industry and of 2015. It was based on Crime and was rejected brutualy by the critics and the audiences alike and managed to stay in theatres just for 10 days.
2. Ram Gopal Verma ki AAG
This was the remake of the biggest blockbuster in the history of Indian Cinema “Sholay”, The film starred Ajay Devgn, Amitab Bacchan in lead roles. The film turned out to be one of the biggest disasters in the history of Devgn, Amitab Bacchan and Ram Gopal verma.
3. Love Story 2050
The film starred Priyanka Chopra, Harman Baweja in lead roles. The film was over hyped due to its use of visual effects; and had a length of 4 hours. The film was bashed by the critics and managed to recover just 20% of its total investment.
4. Drona
The movie starred Abhisekh Bacchan and Priyanka chopra in lead roles. The main target audience was kids; Well nor did the critics or the adults and definetly not the kids liked the movie one single bit and it turned out to be another disaster in the career of Abhisekh Bacchan.
5. Himmatwala
The film is a remake of Jeetendar’s “Himmatwala” and was directed by Sajid Khan. The film starred Ajay Devgn, Tamanah Bhattia in lead roles. The film is one of the biggest disasters in recent memory and had no story whatsoever.
6. Saawariya
Sawariya was the debut movie of Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor and was a directional venture by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and was overhyped throughout its release and when it hit the theatres it turned out to be an epic disaster for these star kids.
7. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom
The film starred Abhisekh Bacchan, Bobby deol, Pretty zinta and larra dutta in lead roles. Though a movie which had such a impressive start cast still the movie failed to meet the expectations of the audiences and turned out to be an epic disaster.
8. 8 x 10 Tasveer
The film was supposed to be a Psychological thriller but it did not affect any one’s psychology and turned out to be one of the biggest disasters in the career of Akshay Kumar.
9. Karzz
Karzz was the remake of Rishi Kapoor’s biggest hit “Karz” and starred Himesh Reshmiya in the lead role. The singer turned actor had great expectations from the movie but nothing paid off when it was released.
10. Humshakals
This is an another Sajid Khan movie and is rated in Wikipedia’s Top 10 worst movie of all times; Now if it is rated by a website like Wikipedia you all can imagine what sort of a movie it is.
