Also known as the Superman or the Batman octopus; blanket octopus lives deep inside the oceans. They use their ‘blanket’ for capturing the prey. They are found in the seas of Australia and New Zealand.
3. Giraffe weevil!
Don’t get confused, because we are not talking about giraffes! Infact, giraffe weevil is a species of beetle. It got its name because of its abnormally long neck! It is found on the islands of Madagascar.

Firstly, it looks like a hummingbird, secondly, it have a proboscis like a hummingbird, and thirdly, its wings also moves fast emitting low humming noise while flying, just like a hummingbird! They are found in Asia and Southern Europe.
5. Salpa!
Salpa looks like a jellyfish; but in reality, it’s not a jellyfish. It is actually made up of smaller organisms, called salp, which stick and work together. They are found in California, and interestingly this creature has even shut down a nuclear power plant there!
6. Ice fish!
Ice fish is a ghostly white bodied and peculiar looking organism, which inhabits the shores around Antarctica. This transparent looking fish survives without hemoglobin, and it had remained a subject matter of research for almost six long decades!
7. Indian purple frog!
Having a plump little body and a ridiculous face; this Indian purple frog remains underground throughout their life. They just come out for two weeks during their entire life for mating, and then again go back underground!
Even, bald uakari is another amazing animal with one of the strangest body features. Living in Brazil and Peru, they are known for their bright red face!
