- The global community always considered the United States of America as the benchmark country in not only setting the standards of rich development in every veritable field ensuring its citizens live an extremely comfortable life but also made them feel proud about the standing the nation positioned itself over the years as the leading country espousing undisputed leadership role bestowed upon it. However, this acknowledged narrative took a severe beating over the last few years largely due to volatility and eccentric politics adopted by the incumbent of the White House. No wonder, unreliability, and impetuous administration marked the whole tenure.

- Thankfully, the maverick businessman-politician is on the way out after failing to secure a decisive mandate for the second term which he was desperately hoping to embrace so facetiously against the backdrop of never-seen-before electioneering bordering on divisive,diabolical, hatred, racist, illogical, irrational, incompetent, and widespread ill-will signifying the man who was always found to be volatile and undependable. Now that the writing is on the wall, his petulance to seed ground by making a graceful exit despite the overwhelming mandate against continuation defines the man.
- There are fewer loyalists, dwindling rapidly by the day, who are extending tacit support to the President who continues to rile about the imagined fraud perpetrated during ballot counting. Casting aspersions on the entire election process without providing accompanying evidence of wrongdoing is finding scarce support to back such ludicrous claims. His party colleagues are urging him to concede defeat by accepting the people’s decree humbly and facilitate the democratic process of installing the President-elect without playing out more of the animosity.

- Never in the history of the oldest democratic country would have witnessed such an acrimonious and hatred-filled electioneering process where the entire narration stooped to such lowest of standards leaving the keen watchers across the globe stunned and hugely dismayed by the unfolding events. Unbelievable level of vitriolic exchanges and exceedingly despicable personal attacks muddied the campaign trail, the very least expected from the sole superpower so used to essay the role of an arbitrator and always standing on moral high grounds.
- The conclusive election result in favour of the opposition should rest any further deliberation on the irrelevant recent past but solely concentrate on ushering in a semblance of normalcy, civility, and of course, urgent measures to reign in the raging pandemic appearing to have overwhelmed the administration’s efforts. Winds of change should blow pleasantly from now on to restore the bruised credentials of the USA. More specifically, the renewal of the democratic process in the USA going forward will find resonation in other democracies as well. The future holds a certain promise for sure!
