Delhi Technological University(DTU) student Chetan Kakkar who is from Delhi has set a new record for international placement by grabbing an offer of $1,90,000(Rs.1.26-1.27 crore approximately) per annum from Google.
According to TOI, Kakkar is alumni of Springdales which is located at Pusa Road, said that the University campus has made a major difference to this prospects. Kakkar is a final year student of DTU’s Information Technology department and will be moving to California to start working with Google after he completes his course in 2016.
The offer quoted by Google to Kakkar is one of the highest salary packages which has been offered during campus placements at the university so far the highest offer made has been Rs 93 Lakh.
Kakkar said that this what he had been aspiring so far and is very excited to join Google. His parents Subhash Kakkar and Rita Kakkar are teachers at Delhi University where Rita is in the faculty of chemistry department while Subhash is a teacher of management studies.
This is not the first time that Google has made such offers to students. Last year the company had offered Rs 1.7 crore salary package to a B tech student of IIT Indore.
