  • None of the nations can assert that they are completely shielded from the damaging impacts of terrorism and insurgency-related activities. Societal unrest will affect all of the nations in one way or another, creating circumstances requiring law and order. Make no mistake: No nation is prepared to provide uninterrupted, peaceful living conditions for its people. Antisocial forces who seek secession, independence, freedom, autonomy, and other such ideologies that are mostly based on faulty comprehension would unavoidably cause trouble for the administration, which it won’t. The radicalization of gullible teenagers who would pledge loyalty to a cause that typically results in a catastrophe is unavoidable, as the entire world is experiencing.

  • After gaining its freedom, India has had numerous instances of these requests. Certain regions of the country are still under the influence of secessionist demands, although they are not as loudly spoken as they previously were. In addition to Jammu and Kashmir, a few Northeastern regions are experiencing instability as well. It is true that a separate Khalistani state briefly controlled Punjab. This state was eventually overthrown as a result of well-coordinated efforts by different authorities. Yet, there have been a few rare incidents involving militant Khalistanis seeking a separate state everywhere in the world. We are aware that Amritpal Singh has recently become a spokesperson for separatists and that the police are on the hunt for him.
  • Eventually, the long arm of the police caught up with the eluding separatist. Videos of Amritpal Singh’s sermon in a gurudwara in the Punjabi village of Rode, where he was detained, however, appear to show a change in the 30-year-old Sikh: he goes from a gun-wielding, irate youth to a mellowed preacher. Yet, he remains a radical and continues to espouse a strong mistrust of the government. We now have to deal with the 24-hour electronic media, whose breathless television coverage simply served to fuel the false rumor that Amritpal is a violent separatist who should be dreaded. It’s not acceptable to turn a villain into a hero. Why would you reach out to separatists by making a spectacle out of their wrongdoings? not

  • Social media networks undoubtedly have certain benefits, but they also have intrinsic drawbacks, like the rapid dissemination of influential, unlicensed, untrue, and frequently false material. Keep in mind that any false narrative will inevitably lead to an increase in lawlessness. Punjab, which borders Pakistan, is a tranquil and significant state. So, any unrest will inevitably inspire our neighboring nation to commit nefarious acts of terrorism. Amritpal still has a small audience. Making him seem like a hero to the disgruntled is dangerous. The state narrative ought to be accurate in this area. The authorities need to stop playing up the drama and treat him fairly, but they also need to expedite the legal system.
