  • Unquestionably, the Indian democratic form of governance is not only well-appreciated, recognized, and accepted as one of the best in the world. The vibrancy, the razzmatazz, fluidity, flexibility, charm, and yes, chaotic existence, is what makes the Indian democracy such a widely accepted form of governance. Of course, as you are aware, any democracy is inherently imbued with chaos, making it what it is. Whereas the governance is entrusted to the treasury benches, the opposition is also tasked to essay a constructive role in the nation-building process as enunciated in the Constitution. What it also means is that the Constitutionally mandated rights in the form of Articles to every citizen of India offer us equality irrespective of caste, class, and creed.

Amit Shah chairing all-party meeting over violence in Manipur - India Today

  • Make no mistake, when it comes to the matter of national security, sovereignty, the nation’s existence, pride, and the overall well-being, all of us are expected to speak in unison, firmly keeping the parochial considerations buried deep under. The Indian political class has proved time and again that they all rise above petty politics when the nation is facing a crisis. The heinous terrorist attack on innocent civilians holidaying in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pahalgam united the country. The widespread and unequivocal condemnation that ensued was overwhelmingly in favour of the Union Government responding appropriately. Most hearteningly, the people of J&K too unanimously condemned cross-border terrorism, demanding a suitable response.

OPERATION SINDOOR AND THE MODI DOCTRINE - Chintan

PC: Chintan – India Foundation

  • As the whole world knows, Operation Sindoor not only established the supremacy of the Indian armed forces and their ability to strike deep inside enemy territory but also proved beyond doubt that none of the hitherto heard nuclear threats of Pakistan will be accorded any credence henceforth. Calling the Pakistani army’s nuclear bluff, the Indian counterattack on some of the most critical facilities deep inside the enemy territory must have shaken the confidence of the rogue elements. Shaken up by the Indian assault with maximum damage to the infrastructure and confidence, the desperate Pakistani establishment sought a ceasefire, which was accepted by the Indian leadership. India has emerged successful on several fronts, militarily and diplomatically.

Union Cabinet meet tomorrow at 10:30 AM ahead of Budget session: Report - The Economic Times

PC: The Economic Times

To further up the diplomatic ante, the Union Government has announced plans to send teams across the globe to explain our position to the global community aftermath of the ongoing Operation Sindoor. Irresponsible statements emanating from the political leaders, cutting across party affiliations over the last few weeks, are not new. The choice of leaders from the Grand Old Party has not gone down well with the ruling dispensation. It chose a seasoned former diplomat, Shashi Tharoor, to lead one of the delegation, though the Congress didn’t nominate him. No one questions the credentials of Tharoor in the diplomatic circle. He has willingly accepted the responsibility. Let’s show unity in our discourse to the world. Petty politics can wait.
