TAL Manufacturing Solutions, a Tata Group company, has designed the country’s first ever home-made robot called ‘Brabo’. The company has already showcased the same at the ‘Make in India‘ week, held in Mumbai.

TATA group unveiled Brabo!

TATA groupThe design of the robot was done in-house at TAL, while styling was done at Tata Elxi and manufacturing of some of the parts was done at Tata AutoComp. Tata Capital, a housing finance company provided the finance for the whole project.

Designing team!

The robot, Brabo is a Tata Motors innovation. It has been developed in-house by a team of 6 engineers, whose average age is 24 years. The team has been led by chief operating officer of TAL Manufacturing Solutions, Anil Bhingurde.

TAL!

TAL is a Tata group company and is one of the leading companies in India. The company has successfully delivered manufacturing solutions for over 40 years to its customers in Automotive and Heavy Engineering and recently, to Aerospace and Defence sectors too.

TATA groupIdea of making of Brabo!

The idea behind the making of Brabo is to drive mechanisation in the Indian markets. It will be done by offering cheap and cost-effective solutions. Also, it has been reported that TAL Manufacturing Solutions doesn’t intend to compete with global robot manufacturing companies by manufacturing robots; rather the company plans to target the small initiatives in the Indian markets with affordable solutions.

As proposed, the robot will be developed for micro, small and medium enterprises in India. The various enterprises will then be able to use the robots for their manufacturing purposes.

Cost, pricing and availability!

The development cost of the robot is reported to be around Rs. 10 crore. And, it has been reported that it will be priced at Rs. 300,000 for 2 kgs payload; while at Rs. 600,000 for 10 kgs payload. The robot is expected to be launched before May 2016.

An advantage to Tata group!

The main advantage that Tata group has is that they will have the localised manufacturing of the robot. And, this will in turn result in low development cost, and thus, they can price the robots lower than the foreign players.

  1. I am the manager of JustCBD label (justcbdstore.com) and I’m presently seeking to develop my wholesale side of company. It would be great if someone at targetdomain is able to provide some guidance ! I considered that the most effective way to do this would be to reach out to vape shops and cbd retail stores. I was hoping if someone could suggest a qualified site where I can get Vape Shop B2B Mailing List I am presently taking a look at creativebeartech.com, theeliquidboutique.co.uk and wowitloveithaveit.com. On the fence which one would be the most ideal solution and would appreciate any advice on this. Or would it be simpler for me to scrape my own leads? Ideas?
