Seems like this November is going pretty catastrophic for the whole world. Last week terrorists attacked Paris because of which, around 140 people lost their lives and many got injured. And just when people were getting over that trauma another attack has been made by the terrorists and this time it is at Mali’s Capital.
The terrorists created a hostage situation by taking over a hotel named Radisson Blu Hotel where at least twenty-one people lost their lives, it has been reported that and Al Qaeda affiliated group is partially responsible for the attack.
The gunmen started firing randomly at the guests without asking or answering questions. Few guests who survived the attack said that they were yelling “Allahu akbar”. Many people were trapped in the building for hours before Malian and United nations security forces counterattacked and rushed the guests away.
Apart from the people who lost their lives many of them have been hospitalized. Al Mourabitoun which is an Islamic Militant group has claimed that it was jointly responsible for the attack and has carried out the attack with Islamic Maghreb(AQIB) they had demanded the release of prisoners in France.
The attack began at about 7 a.m, when two or three attackers with AK-47 rifles entered the hotel with guns firing. Mongi Hamdi who is the head of the UN Mission in Mali said that the diplomats meeting which had begun on Thursday was the possible reason for the attack as because the terrorists do not want to see peace in Mali.
France had declared that they had dispatched an elite military group who has been trained for hostage rescue and counter terrorism. The attack just after the day Hollande praised his troops for successfully countering Islamists in the former French colony.
