Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan’s recently made comments on the growing intolerance have provoked very sharp reactions on the social media, Twitter. Many of his industry colleagues like, Anupam Kher and Ram Gopal Varma, critisized him, and asked a question that how did the ‘Incredible India’ turned to an ‘Intolerant India’ for him?
The 50-year-old superstar on an award function on Monday evening in the national capital gave statement that he was “alarmed” by the increasing number of incidents and his wife Kiran Rao even suggested moving out of the country.
Popular Anupam Kher, who has shared the screen space with Aamir in many popular and hit movies hit out at him saying that India has made him what he is today.
In one of his tweets he asked Amir, whether he asked Kiran which country she would like to move out to. And also if Amir told her that this country has made him the AAMIR KHAN that he is today. And if Kiran knows that he lived in this very country through many worse times and never thought of moving out.
Digging Aamir’s ‘Atithi Devo Bhavah’ campaign and the popular TV show “Satyamev Jayate”, Anupam Kher further added, when did ‘Incredible India’ turn into an ‘Intolerant India’ for him? Was it only in the last 7-8 months?
In Satyameva Jayate Amir talked about evil practices but always gave hope. Anupam Kher said that even in the ‘Intolerant’ times Amir needs to spread Hope not Fear.
RamGopal Varma, who gave Aamir one of his most popular films of his career Rangeela, also tweeted that some celebrities owe their success to this very Intolerant country and today they are only complaining about Intolerance. They should be the last ones to complain as this country has given them a lot.
Actor Paresh Rawal said if Aamir will never make such comments if he believes this country is his “motherland”. As a true fighter, Amir needs to bring the change he wants to see and not leave the country. As a true patriot will not escape but try to build. Rawal has also acted in many movies with Amir.
