Finally after receiving millions of Intolerant Responses to his Intolerance Comment, Aamir breaks his silence and says that he had No intention of leaving the country, and is proud to be Indian.
Just after the controversial interview, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan faced immense criticism to the extent that even his Bollywood colleagues slammed him.
Actors like Anupam Kher and actor turned politician Paresh Rawal slammed Mr. Khan who recently stated in an interview that his wife Kiran Rao suggested that they should consider leaving India as there is a growing “intolerance” in the country. The statements made by Mr.Khan has surprised many, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher, RamGopal Verma are just few of them.
After getting attacked over his remarks on intolerance, the superstar declared that he stands by his comments and tried to make it clear that neither he nor his wife Kiran Rao have any intention to leave India.
Aamir Khan drew flak from BJP and a section of film fraternity for articulating his “alarm and despondency” over the rising incidents of intolerance in the country, he came out with a statement breaking his silence, saying that he is “proud to be an Indian”.
He further said that India is a beautiful country and there is a need to take measures to preserve the harmony and peace of the nation. He ruled out himself or his family to leave India even in the future anytime.
He added further that whoever was implying the opposite has either not seen his interview or is deliberately trying to distort what he said.
Aamir Khan said he feel truly Indian as India is his country, he loved it and feels fortunate for being born here, and he will be staying in India only .
While we cannot comment much on Aamir’s clarification, why would not think twice before making sensitive comments Aamir!
