2. The Attacks of 26/11
26/11 is the black day in the India’s history. This movie was picturized on Ajmal Kasab, who was the prime radical and was caught in the 26/11 terror attack held at Mumbai’s Taj hotel. This movie was directed by Ram Gopal Varma, based on the Mumbai attacks of 2008.
3. Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara
Mumbai is the hub of Bollywood and also the place of famous gangsters like Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Rajan. This movie got a lot of hype as it narrated the gangster’s journey. However the movie didn’t work much on the screen.
4. The Dirty Picture
It is said, never judge a book by its cover and similar is The Dirty Picture. This movie is a biopic of the southern blue film star which was famously known by the name Silk Smitha. However, Bollywood movie starring Vidya Balan played a heavy dose of entertainment. Vidya has done a commendable job here and played a perfect seductress.
5. Special 26
This movie was inspired by a real life occurrence that took place in Mumbai’s Zaveri Bazaar in 1987. The movie narrates the story of a group of conmen who pretend as CBI officers and execute a daylight income tax raid. The film has won a plenty of critics’ applause.
6. Mary Kom
Mary Kom, the name itself tells it all. The inspiration and spark for every woman in today’s world. She was the only boxer from India who has won 5 times World Amateur Boxing Champion. To show her biopic, the most renowned actress Priyanka Chopra was pitched in who did full justification for the role in the film.
7. Satyagraha – Democracy Under Fire
Satyagraha , where the movie is slackly based on Anna Hazare’s fight against our day to day corruption that occurs in one commons living. Where the Bollywood Legend Mr Amitabh Bachan was playing the role of Anna Hazare. His role was enthused by the international reporter, Christian Amanpour.
8. No One Killed Jessica
This film is more of a political crime thriller. This film was based on most publicized Jessica Lal murder case. In this movie, actress Vidya Balan played Jessica’s elder sister and Rani Mukherjee played spunky news journalist. This film not only won the heart of the audience, but also prestigious awards.
9. Not a Love Story
The movie, which is based on the ghastly murder of Neeraj Grover, which led to the take into custody of Maria Susairaj and M.L. Jerome. The most famous director Ram Gopal Varma had shot the movie within 20 days at Dheeraj Solitaire building, which is the most important location of the confrontation.
10. Guru
