Extremely popular for its Tea Industry, Darjeeling located in the state of West Bengal. This beautiful city is located in the middle of the lower Himalayas which is also known as the Mahabharat Range.

Positioned at an height of 2590 meters (8482 ft.) and 13 km from the town, Darjeeling has gathered international fame for the brilliant view of the sunrise over the “Kanchanjunga” and the great eastern Himalayan Mountains. The world’s highest peak the Mount Everest, is also visible from here. The town is gifted with a rich cultural history and nature and because to its extremely pleasant climate all year round, is a popular tourist destination.

Batasia Loop and the War Memorial

At the Batasia Loop the very famous ‘Toy Train’ makes its way across a looped track that transverses through some extremely beautiful parks. This place is very popular for housing a Gorkha war memorial, and while travelling in the toy train you can have a 360 degrees view of complete Darjeeling. Located at about 4 km from the Market Square on the National Highway, Ava.Art Gallery one of its kind in the hills. It has a collection of 60 pieces of art work in water, paintings made of oil and thread which are displayed in the Gallery. Visitors can come walking or take a taxi to visit this gallery, best part being the Entry fees here is free.

Located in the heart of the town Darjeeling town,This place is a must visit and one of the best places in Darjeeling. It is one of the most popular tourist hangout in Darjeeling. Apart from several boutique shops and restaurants, it is extremely beautiful in terms of nature. At one side of the mall is densely covered pine forest which is under the shadow of the towering mountain peaks, and the other side has shops which offers traditional garments, handicrafts, carpets & rugs, paintings, jewellery and metalwares. Two major attractions are the Hawa Ghar and the huge golden color statue of the Nepali poet Bhanubhakta Acharya which is located at the Chowrasta. Also visit the Bhutia Market, it’s a great place for the shopaholics.

Both these places are located around the Darjeeling town are perfect for botanists. At around 10 kms from Darjeeling is the Rock Garden which has beautiful colourful terraced gardens with highly diversified flowering plants.Chunnu Summer Falls is another add on which makes the visit to this park an awesome experience And on the other hand at around 3 kms away is one more natures park, this park also has gardens with diverse species of colourful flowers and a lake. The Japanese Peace Pagoda was established by a Japanese Buddhist monk Nichidatsu Fuji. Located at the slopes of the Jalapahar Hill the pagoda this place is very easily reachable. This place basically showcases four avtars of Lord Buddha.

Situated at an elevation of around 2134 meters approx. above sea level the Singalila National Park is located in the highest regions of the state of West Bengal. The park is very popular for its remarkable peaks and the view of the lesser Himalayas. Very popular as the trekker’s paradise with a very large variety of mountainous vegetation, fauna, and birds an awesome wildlife.

Tiger Hills are one of the most popular peaks in Darjeeling .Very easily reachable and on the way comes some of the oldest tea plantations in Darjeeling. The Tenzing and Gombu Rock are just the perfect place for the mountaineers. Situated at an approx distance of a 20 minutes from Darjeeling by road, these two are enormous natural rock formations where the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute gives rock climbing training.

This cemetery is declared as a site of ‘National Importance’. It houses two historical graves and several other graves which belongs to people from the colonial era.The two major attractions are, the grave of Lt. General George W. Aylmer Lloyd and the great Hungarian linguist Alexander Csoma de Koros.
