Adding a further layer of significance, the 2025 edition is unique since the constellation alignment seen is witnessed once in 144 years. Little wonder, millions of devotees wish to visit Prayagraj to seek divine blessings. It also makes one wonder how faiths define our everyday existence playing such an exceptionally life-altering role in more than one way. Yes, we Indians are not only a religiously oriented lot but also symbolize our unflinching faith in the divine acts of various Gods.

As we are aware, disaster management preparedness in the country is a work in progress at the best of times. Successfully managing a monumental event like the Kumbh Mela must have given nightmares to the administration. To its credit, the UP administration has done a commendable job of provisioning top-notch logistical arrangements to facilitate devotees are least inconvenienced. Still, the unfortunate stampede that ensued on a tragic day killed 30 innocent lives. Nonetheless, the devotees’ faith hasn’t dimmed one bit with millions still visiting. That’s Aasthaa for you.
