Christmas is coming, and the holiday season is in full swing in Dallas. That means there are a whole slew of holiday events throughout North Texas, from Christmas concerts to Santa sightings, light displays to holiday movies. Here are the list of things you can do in Dallas For Christmas
Lights and Displays
Texas Motor Speedway’s Gift of Lights is a drive-through holiday light show on the track. Six Flags Over Texas’ Holiday in the Park will have light shows, costumed Clauses, and other holiday activities to put a Christmas spin on the amusement park’s usual assortment of rides and games.
Festivals and Parades
One of the biggest Christmas parades in the country rolls through downtown Dallas with the Children’s Health Holiday Parade.
The devil to Santa’s angel, Krampus is a legendary creature who punishes naughty children come Christmas time.
Theater and Dance (and The Nutcracker)
The Dallas Opera premieres Becoming Santa Claus, an origin story for the jolly bearded fellow that follows his early days as a young prince at the North Pole.
Hijinks ensue in this irreverent play off of the holiday popularity of the The Nutcracker.
Concerts
It’s a Chrismukkah celebration when JEFF The Brotherhood and Diarrhea Planet, two of Nashville’s finest, rowdiest rock acts, come to town.
