- The Indian Union Government, admirably fronted by the increasingly indomitable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sent a firm, loud, and clear message across the border to the Pakistani deep state and the army establishment supporting terrorism in the form of highly successful Operation Sindoor. The surgical strikes launched on the terrorist hideouts/locations inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, a total of nine sanctuaries, were completely wiped out by the brave Indian armed forces. The midnight-early morning strikes left the Pakistani establishment stunned, and the complacent army could not comprehend what was happening around. By the time the Paki army realized, the destruction both psychologically and physically were widespread.

- The most notable outcome from Operation Sindoor was how our armed forces showcased professional military skills in not only reaching deep inside enemy territory but also putting up an incredible air defence system to thwart swarms of drones and missiles fired from the other side. When the Pakistani army further attempted to target civilian and military establishments, the Indian response was brutal, effective. It ensured the former was brought to its knees as some of the most crucial airbases inside Pakistan were hammered with Brahmos missiles. The panicky that set in the Paki ranks was quite visible as the army made desperate calls for truce reaching out to DGMO for ceasefire. The Indian side accepted the same, leading to a ceasefire, for now.

- Make no mistake, Operation Sindoor did what it set out to, at a minimal cost to the country. People may question this, but the Union Government’s verbal restraint is a definite sign of a mature power. Gone are the days when India and Pakistan used to be hyphenated. Of course, relief in Pakistan after Saturday’s ceasefire was palpable when PM Shehbaz Sharif rushed to declare the pause a historic victory. Really. As expected, the propaganda war was about to heat up. But Indian officials held their volleys, displaying the same verbal restraint that distinguished the foreign secretary and his defence colleagues this past week. While a section of Indians no doubt disagrees, worried about the battle of narratives, this restraint should be seen as a sign of India’s maturity.

- As mentioned above, the narrative of the global community bracketing India and Pakistan in the same breath is way behind us. We have moved way ahead of the failed Pakistan in several parameters and yardsticks, including the economy. From now on, India will dictate the narrative on matters concerning Pakistan. Thus, as a major economy and rising military power, India does not need to convey its strength with boastful words. None showcased this side of us than how Air Marshal AK Bharti didn’t gloat over the damage inflicted upon Pakistan at the recent presser: Our job is to hit the target, not to count the body bags. Wow! This is New India. Confident, poised, determined, and focused. Operation Sindoor has achieved more than military success. Period.
