Remember, there was a time when Pakistan used to be a superior side as compared to Team India and would always give us a real run for the money. The last-ball six in Sharjah had a cascading impact on how Team India would struggle to defeat Pakistan not only in 50-over ODIs but also in subsequent Tests for years. Unfortunately, the competitive levels of both sides have been diametrically opposite in the last few years. Whereas Team India has gone from strength to strength, the same cannot be said about Team Pakistan, who are riddled by uncompetitive administrators failing to help raise the game on expected lines.

Wherever Team India plays, one can always expect a quality contest with proven performers always rising above the ordinary to deliver outstanding performances consistently. Man-to-man, there simply is no comparison between India and Pakistan anymore. Of course, Pakistan may be blessed with great, talented cricketers, but unless the whole team performs optimally, what use is it to have even world-class cricketers failing to ensure the cause of the entity is fulfilled? Simply put, there is no comparison between the two neighbouring teams vis-à-vis quality, consistency, and mouthwatering contests for the patrons to enjoy the game. Pakistan should pull its socks forthwith.
