  • Over six months since the pandemic made its presence felt leaving each one of us disturbed in varying degrees, there are visible signs of welcome returning to normalcy attempting to pick up shattered threads of life and livelihood to regroup yet again. Though the pandemic still rages across the country unabated without showing any let-up, the people have made tremendous efforts at kick-starting all perceivable economic activities in the right earnest. The resultant outcome is there for all to witness in the steady ascendancy in the desired manner.

  • One of the most hard-hit sector owing to the stringent lockdown restrictions was the hospitality industry having had to curtail travel and tourism activities bowing to the diktat. That the lockdown was imposed at the start of the summer vacation season proved to be a double whammy is beyond debate for the industry who enthusiastically await the footfalls no sooner the examinations are concluded in the month of March-April. As is the case with other sectors, the hospitality industry too was looking forward to resuming sooner than later.
  • Undeniably, travel-weary people scared of catching the infection are exercising extreme caution before braving enough to venture out to faraway destinations. In the interim, holed-up for long duration and fatigued out people are finding ways to unwind from the extended sedentariness by exploring viable options without attempting to travel out too far. Especially working couples who are cooped up within the confines of four walls for months on now are prepared to finally gather enough courage to travel and/or commute for a certain distance away.

  • In such a scenario, the hospitality sector correctly gauging the mood of the patrons has geared up suitably with attractive packages to not only welcome the excited and equally anxiety-driven suitors to throng their places. Right from provisioning Wi-Fi facilities to allow working people to seamlessly carry on with their routine works to ensuring social distancing norms to uncompromised approach to health & hygiene-related issues, the hospitality sector has traversed extra miles to ensure visitors are made to feel comfortable and content.
  • Speaking of Bengaluru habitants, apart from the known tourist destinations within the vicinity of 250 to 300 Kilometres, home stays in travel circuits dotting these alluring places have become extremely popular for relaxing. Long and extended weekends are much sought often leading to further extension on weekdays too. Trust me, the skulduggery of all negative happenstances over the past several months has rendered scores of us jaded frantically yearning for pleasant experiences to refresh frayed nerves. What better option than to choose to stay amidst beautiful locales where naturally welcoming ambiance embraces us!
