If we see the positive side, then all of these platforms have connected us socially with friends and family. These social media also help us find those long lost friends. This is something which is getting very usual these days. Texting short forms like ‘BTW’, ‘LOL’ are taking vocal forms. I think you will agree that you either use or have heard people using texting short forms. Sadly, these short forms are destroying our vocabulary.

 

 

3.It rules what food you eat

The best example to prove this would be to take an illustration of a restaurant. You go to a restaurant and the first thing you do is to take a picture of the dish and upload it on some social media platform. Grow up; nobody is going to get inside your photo and eat it for you.

No matter where in the world you will go, you make sure that you make a status update about visiting this place or the other. It is really annoying when you see someone updating like “At times square New York, beautiful city; happy to be here”.

It changes your view how to listen music. The band or singer which is more popular on Facebook becomes your favorite; while there may be some other singer who is a better artist than him, but not very active on social media.

Whenever you hit a saloon or a parlor you make sure that you update yourself with the new hairstyles used by different celebrities. Nobody is against this; but the problem arises when you take a picture and upload it on Facebook or Twitter with a status update of “Feeling amazing with Angel Priya and 40 others, got a new hairstyle loving it”.

 

 

 

 

9.It rules our time away with friends and family

I believe people go out on vacations to get a break from their routine and not to take 100 photos and update it on Facebook. It is seriously irritating when you are with your family on a vacation and all you care about updating your locations(check-ins) from time to time on Facebook.

 

 

 

 

10.It rules our time with pets

When you meet your pet after a longtime you do not appreciate its love. All you do is, first take a selfie and update it on Facebook; “Met my pet after a long time”. Come on, the poor soul doesn’t even know the meaning of a selfie there’s absolutely no point of doing that.
