1. Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar
Dawood is one of the most wanted criminals in India. He together with his team members carried out a number of illegal activities in India and other parts of the world. Drug dealing, human trafficking, extortion, piracy and match fixing are some of his activities. It is also said that he had a close relation with Osama Bin Laden. He is the main person who was involved in 1993 and 2008 bomb blast in Mumbai.
2. Hafiz Muhammad Saeed
Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, who is the chief of a terrorist group called Lashkar-e-Tayyeba and its parent organization, Jamaat-ud-Dawa, was declared as a mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai attacks. It is also believed that our neighboring country Pakistan is helping him by giving him shelter.
3. Masood Azhar
Leader of Jaish-E-Mohammad, a militant group, Masood Azhar is being held responsible for carrying out the terrorist attack on Indian Parliament in 2001. Earlier, he was freed by the Government of India in the year 1999 plane hijack incident. Currently, as per the report, he is staying in Pakistan from where he carries out his illegal activities against India.
4. Sajid Mir
Sajid Mir is a Pakistani politician and a member of Senate of Pakistan who is currently serving as Chairperson-Senate committee of science and technology. He is being charged for supporting terrorist groups while they were performing terrorist activities in India. Currently, according to the report he is in Karachi protected by the ISI.
5. Syed Salahuddin
Syed Salahuddin is the chief of Kashmiri militant organization called Hizbul Mujahideen. The main aim of this group is to unite Kashmir with Pakistan and that is why people believe that Pakistan is helping him in his illegal activities in India. He is responsible for many terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
6. Ilyas Kashmiri
You must have heard about the German Bakery blast in Pune and a very famous 26/11 attack in Mumbai. Ilyas Kashmiri was responsible for these attacks. Besides, he also carried out an attack on the American Centre in Kolkata in 2002 and several blasts in Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Bangalore in 2008.He is currently the most wanted criminal in India.
7. Major Iqbal
Iqbal is an ISI Officer and Major in Pakistani Army. He is the person who trained David Headley to handle illegal activities in India. He is also responsible for the death of many innocent people as he is the person who made strategy for 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
8. Zaki-Ur- RehmanLakhvi
Zaki-Ur- RehmanLakhvi is the founder of Lashkar-e-Tayyeba, yet another terrorist group that is responsible for most of the terrorist attacks in India. 26/11 attacks in Mumbai were held by him together with the help of Hafiz Saeed.
9. Anees Ibrahim
Anees Ibrahim is a younger brother of Dawood Ibrahim, who is equally involved in all the illegal activities which Dawood Ibrahim commit. Drug rackets and Extortion racket are some of the activities in which he is equally finding help his brother Dawood Ibrahim. 1993 Bombay Blast was the main attack which he planned out against India.
10. Chhota Shakeel
Chhota Shakeel comes under one of the most sought criminals in India. He was mainly responsible for killing hundreds of people in 1993 Bomb Blast. The report says that which he was in Pakistan, he was in close touch with Dawood Ibrahim and Osama Bin Laden.
These are the list of top 10 most sought criminals in India, according to the list published by the NIA’s Most Wanted Terrorists or Fugitives. This is not just the responsibility of the government to catch these criminals and put them behind the bars. It is equally our responsibility as well to cooperate with the government and help them as much as possible.
