1. Fighting Oil with Oil

Whether you believe it or not; you can actually eradicate greasy build-up on your stove top and stove hood with oil. Yeah, that sounds pretty weird; but apparently it works great! All you need to do is to drop a couple of drops of mineral oil (even vegetable oil may work) on a paper towel and then rub it across the greasy gunk. In this fashion, the oil will remove the gunk even without the use of any harsh chemicals and makes it really shine.

2. Remove Stains on Microfiber with Alcohol

Actually, that’s rubbing alcohol and not liquor. So, if you have stains on your microfiber chair or couch; then regular rubbing alcohol will help in removing those stains and thus, will leave your furniture looking new again! All you need is a white sponge and a white bristle brush (please carefully note that colored sponges and brushes could even transfer colors to your furniture). Now simply pour the alcohol into a spray bottle and then spray the area that is stained down. After that, rub the stain off with the help ofa sponge. Once the alcohol dries, you will have to smooth the fibers back with the bristle brush.

3. Clean Mini Blinds with Vinegar

There is a relatively latest trick which involves the dishwasher for cleaning blinds; but this little trick is way faster and even you don’t have to take the blinds down first. All you need to do is to mix together equal parts of vinegar and water in a bowl and then put on an old sock. Now just dip the sock in the mixture and then run it over the blinds. Afterwards, you can also bring into play a second old sock in wiping away the dampness.

4. Remove Oil from Carpet with Baking Soda

If you have had a horrible oil spill on your carpet; then there is a hack to remove that. You just have to make sure that you get all of the fluid off the carpet before you begin. Now start by sprinkling baking soda on the stain and then leave it for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, vacuum it up. Afterwards, mix a tablespoon of vinegar and a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid in two cups of warm water. And then apply the mixture to the stain with a sponge. Now, leave it for a few minutes and then take away with a clean sponge dampened with cold water.

5. Clean Stainless Steel Faucets with Lemons

Generally, cleaning the bathroom is assumed to be one of the least favourite jobs! This little hack takes lemons in order to superbly clean and shine the stainless steel faucets and thus, makes the entire room smell wonderful. All you need to do is to cut a lemon in half and then begin rubbing those stains away. This also works perfectly for hard water stains. This hack will also remove rust from metals in the kitchen or bathroom.

6. Clean a Microwave with Vinegar and Steam

Unfortunately, for some people cleaning microwave means removing food splatters from top to bottom; and actually some of these food splatters can be really hard to get off. All you need to do is to fill a bowl (a microwave safe bowl) with 1-2 cups of water and then put 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and a few drops of essential oil. Now, place the bowl in the microwave and run it for 5 minutes. Then just wipe clean with a damp towel.
