There are no two thoughts about the importance, imperativeness, and inevitability of indulging in some physical activities during the day. Physical exercise could be in any form whether jogging, running, cycling, brisk walking, speed walking, games, or indulging in any activity that helps to burn calories. Ask any medical experts or for that matter passionate people largely invested in building up physical endurance, they will vouch in unison that a sedentary lifestyle is the number one killer in the world and hence, conditioning the brain to go and sweat it out is of paramount importance.

  • When I say conditioning, it is to point out how the subconscious mind prompts our day-to-day living including the habits and practices acquired over the years. Some sane and wisdom-blessed individuals aptly mentioned that human beings are made from nothing but acquired habits that the subconscious mind gets used to. To break the monotony of mundane practices yielding very little in terms of healthy living, it is imperative to break the shackles of thought processes that define our existence. Not for nothing it is mentioned mind over matter. Simply because the mind must concretize those swirling ideas into something substantial by firming up our resolve and overcoming negative thoughts by sticking to the avowed resolve.
  • Once the mind is conditioned to accept what we should do, including the resolve to indulge in any form of physical activity, it becomes a routine of sorts to stick with the humdrum. The benefits of wholesome indulgence in physical exercise are well-known to all of us. Most importantly, sticking to a standard of punishing the body for at least an hour must be part of our day-to-day living. Mind you, all of us have 24 hours in a day and it is how we prioritize our day by allocating an hour for sweating it out, which is bound to provide tremendous benefits to the body in more than one way should be our guiding light. Agreed, the modern-day demands on each of us are filled where the challenges encountered along the way test our resolve.

  • Nonetheless, dedicatedly indulging in physical exercise must also be prioritized come what may. Yes, sometimes the mind tries to play up by bombarding our psyche with negative thought processes, urging us to opt for relaxation rather than sweat it out. This is where the strong resolve courtesy of conditioning should drive us to brush aside those thoughts by taking a firm step to go out and immerse ourselves in physical activities. The feel-good factor and the confidence levels that one feels after an hour spent overcoming negative thoughts cannot be explained. One must feel it to explain the triumphant feeling. As such, an hour of physical activity/exercise at least five days a week should be assiduously followed. I follow it diligently, so you too can. Will you?
