  • Siddaramaiah, the tallest backward class leader in the state with sizeable support from the MLAs/leaders/people, has indicated in no uncertain terms that he would be actively involved in the state politics. He has also shown disinclination to move to national politics as requested by the high command. As such, the new CM would be required to play a great maneuvering and balancing act, taking along the labyrinthine caste equations as well as demographic representations. It would be interesting to note the composition of the new cabinet under the new dispensation. With the leadership matter settled, the people of the state would fervently hope that the development works will receive a much-needed fillip sooner than later.
