The whole world was waiting with bated breath to know the eventual outcome of the most polarized, brutally personalized, hawkish, and hard-fought election that eventually resulted in the maverick and extremely unpredictable Republican candidate and ex-President Donald Trump triumphing again with flying colours. This victory came when several opinionated experts hardly gave any chance for the Republican candidate to emerge victorious. However, the American people apparently had made up their minds to choose whom they thought would be ideal.

- That Donald Trump could sweep the polls including the popular votes speaks volumes about the way the entire campaign turned in favour of the divisive figure who created so much history along the way. Only the second President to be elected non-consecutively to the most powerful office in the world is one of the many achievements that the maverick leader created. Come to think of it, at 78 years old, he is the oldest to have won the mandate to run the country. By the time you read this, Donald Trump would have assumed the office and initiated several measures that he so pompously promised during the campaigning. The moot point to ponder over here is what it will entail to the world community if those grandiose announcements take effect eventually.

- As you are aware, a few of the announcements made by Donald Trump to cater to the local population in America like the deportation of illegal immigrants, imposing trade tariffs, curtailing overseas job opportunities to encourage domestic aspirants, eyeing to expand US footprints in Greenland, Ukraine-Russia war, Hamas-Israel war, and China conundrum. Notably, before his inauguration, Donald Trump’s unequivocal warning to Hamas leadership to accept the ceasefire proposal has had a telling effect with Hamas-Israel reaching an agreement with the release of captured hostages. Not only that, Trump already has a telephone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping setting forth the priorities of the new administration in the coming days.

The Indian leadership would be eagerly awaiting to witness the outcome of the new President in office and what it entails vis-à-vis the growing partnership between the two largest democracies in the world. The Indian think tank would leave no stone unturned to elevate the relationship into a strategic partnership to check the growing ambitions of China that directly question the unipolarity of the USA. Trump will be in a hurry to leave behind emulation-worthy footprints in the history of the USA and the world at large in his last term. He has shown enough signs of pressing ahead with his agenda in full force, setting an unprecedented pace.
