8 Embarrassing Things That Indian Do On Roads

We Indians are known for our culture, heritage and endless historical monuments. People across the globe visit our country to get a glimpse of all these. Indians are known for their hospitality and love for the guests. However, there are few things that we Indians do which are embarrassing. If we are to get more respect from the foreign visitors of our country, we have to let go of these bad habits. Here are few embarrassing things that our Indian brothers and sisters do on the roads!

 1) Openly spit on the road

This is the most common thing that we see in India. The main reason for this can be stated is “Pan”, “Pan Masala” and other such variations. People spit openly on the road without even thinking that how embarrassing it will look when some foreign visitors would see the “pan spot” on the road or on some other monument.

2) Urination

This happens in 2/4 of every mega city of India. Despite of all the efforts by the government to create public toilets the people still prefer to urinate openly in the public. Even if someone looks at them in an annoying manner, they hardly give a damn and continue with what they were doing.

3) Staring

People stare at foreigners like they are aliens and have come from some other planet of the universe. This is the most disgraceful part. What is more annoying is that a few illiterate people will watch every girl in such a manner that is very disgraceful.

4) Fights

India is probably one of the only countries where even a small issue like an unintentional push may give rise to world war III. People make sure that they get the common public involved and make a total mess out of the simple matter.

5) Talking loudly in public

This happens everywhere. You will surely find a few people who talk so loudly over the phone that they make sure that the whole world listens to their conversation. This is the most irritating habits of a majority of Indians and should be rectified.

6) Throwing garbage

Probably this is something which even the Prime minister of India, Narendra Modi is trying to get rid of. He has already started the very popular “Swach Bharat Abhiyaan” where we saw many big celebrities participating and the campaign has been very successful and the garbage which was thrown openly before is now being thrown into proper dustbins.

7) Smoke openly

This is bad for the person doing it as well as for the person who is unwillingly taking in the smoke. People do not use smoking zones and smoke publicly which is harmful not only for them but for everyone.

8) Blaming scene

In India, no matter who commits the mistake its made sure by the person committing the blunder that he puts the blame on someone else or on the person who was affected by it, stating that it was not his fault but it was yours. Nobody accepts their fault and move on rather they enjoy such scenes. The best example of such is a scene when a car gets bumped by some other car.

So these are the most embarrassing things which Indian people do on the roads and should be rectified to ensure the image that goes out of the country through foreign visitors is positive.
