We are aware that, if there is one inalienable aspect of life that never changes, it is the constant change itself. Note that the whole universe, with the advent of cutting-edge technologies being invented so dynamically at such a fast clip, the increasingly aspirational humankind will definitely seek more explorations, innovations, inventions, and initiatives to live up to the expectations. The aspirational humankind will not settle for lesser glory is stating the obvious. As such, humankind as a whole is expected to undertake developments utilizing the modern tools/aids/means available at its disposal. Of course, the quest for the unknown is an inherent characteristic of humanity as a whole and is a very well-known factor. What about the conservation, then? Let’s dwelve further into this.

- It’s a given fact that ensuring a balanced and nuanced understanding of preserving the increasingly fragile environment and abundance of natural resources would become challenging even as we systematically undertake eroding the same in the name of unavoidable development. The unabated exploitation under the guise of development has already created environmental degradation, leading to global warming. And the consequences of global warming have had a cascading effect in the form of weather vagaries leading to unseasonal rains, snowfall, cloudbursts, flash floods, famines, drought, and such disastrous occurrences. The economic downturn resulting from these unnatural happenings has been telling on the whole world.

- Concerned environmentalists, activists, NGOs, and even the public have been raising the issue since critical eco-sensitive areas too are facing the long arm of infrastructure development endeavours undertaken by the authorities. In simple layman’s language, the fragility associated with eco-sensitive areas should be handled extremely carefully, for any imbalance in the natural surroundings will have catastrophic consequences. The global community has witnessed several such occurrences in the last few decades. The humongous loss of lives, property, and livelihood must be duly considered by the authorities before embarking on developmental projects unless backed by unquestionable scientific evidence. Growth and conservation can go together, after all.
