One of the most eye-catching branding was done by the budget air carrier AirAsia, when they unveiled a rebranded aircraft which has a livery dedicated to Kabali.
Airtel is also offering subscribers a chance to greet superstar Rajinikanth through SMS. Kabali and Airtel partnership includes Kabali branded SIM cards, exclusive Kabali recharge packs and hello tunes.
PVR is the official multiplex partner for Kabali, it is offering its customers an exclusive Kabali digital poster with the PVR logo. This poster is up for sale on its official website.
The branding of Kabali has created a record, no other South Indian film has been able to get this close. Already Rs. 50-60 crore have been spent of the branding of Kabali.
According to Dhanu Paranthaman, Chief Executive Officer of V Creations and son of Kalaipuli S. Thanu – “Kabali is an international film and Rajinikanth’s reach extends across the globe. We were very particular about the brands we associate ourselves with, as it is a Rajinikanth film meant for family audiences. Though a lot of offers came our way, we only picked those we thought would go with ‘brand Kabali’. We will also be marketing our merchandise through Amazon and through retail outlets of Muthoot Fincorp.”
Kabali directed by Pa. Ranjith starring Rajinikanth as a Malaysian don, is all set to hit the big screen on July 22.
