We generally take this topic as a joke, but it is one of the most serious topics which should be discussed because the condition of world’s toilets is seriously not a joke.

For people in developed countries it is seriously not an issue because all they have to do is flush and turning on the tap but for more than 650 million people in the world do have clean water facility and more than 2.3 billion who do not have access to a safe, private toilet. Diarrhea is one of the major reasons apart from pneumonia and malaria because of which young children lose their lives. Most of the deaths around 58% of them can be prevented by sanitation, clean water and proper hygiene including hand washing with soaps. If this is followed more than 300,000 young children can be saved each year. The ten worst places to find a toilet are: –

1. South Sudan

South Sudan which is located in North eastern Africa, 93.3% do have access to an ‘improved toilet’, The main reason so as to why South Sudan does not have proper toilets is its immense poverty and their gross national income of 940 is just a proof of that.

2. Niger

At number two, we have Niger which is located in western Africa, 89.1% do have access to an ‘improved toilet’, Talking about Niger, the most important reason so as to why they don’t have proper toilets it’s because of his bad government management, the average life expectancy of a person is less than 58.

3. Togo

Togo is located on western Africa’s Gulf of Guinea, Togo has many other things to focus on apart from proper toilets which is mal nutrition, child deaths and so on, around 88.4% of the people do not have access to a proper toilet and the figure is bound to increase in some time.

4. Madagascar
