Former deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar stated publicly that ‘If we don’t have enough water in our dams; should we urinate into it?’ And this happened when the state was already facing the severe drought issues. Also he was still holding the post of deputy CM at that time in 2014. Later, he apologized.

The Chief Minister of West Bengal is rightly considered as a veteran of controversial statements. When it comes to the death of a student, she tells it a small and petty matter. And in another statement, she claims the reason of more rape to be the increasing freedom among boys and girls. Even in 2012, she attributed the outbreak of dengue to improper diet in West Bengal! LOL

When PM Narendra Modi was still holding the office as Gujarat’s CM; he stated that excessive figure consciousness and vegetarianism led to malnutrition. The middle class is moreover more beauty conscious than health conscious!

Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi blamed film nudity and western culture as the main cause of rapes in India. He further added that having boyfriends and girlfriends has now became a trend and fashion in cities and due to this, rape incidents are higher in urban areas of the country!

Anisur Rahman, CPI-M leader passed obscene remarks against the West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee. He attacked the government for the compensation of Rs. 20,000/- paid to the rape victims. He went on publicly to ask her, what her fees would be if she is raped!

President’s Pranab Mukherjee son and Congress MP Abhijeet Mukherjee fueled a big controversy by accusing the women who were protesting against the gang rape of a student as ‘Highly dented and painted!’ Afterwards, it caused a big backfire and embarrassed the then Congress government.

Karnataka’s Home Minister KJ George was insensitive enough that he declared that rape can’t be caused by just one or two men. According to him, a gang rape is called when four to five people are involved! Although he apologized later; but it typically reflected the insensitivity of certain politicians.

Mulayam Singh Yadav stated that ‘Boys make mistakes, why hang them?’ He also argued to drive English out of India and claimed computers to be the cause of unemployment. He stated this in opposition to the mechanized farming.

Yeah, a mere Rs. 600/- per month is enough to feed a family of 5 people! This statement was not passed by a person with low knowledge of socio-economic affairs; instead it was made by the ex-CM of Delhi, Sheila Dixit. She made this statement in response to the cash subsidies in 2012.

The ex-Health Minister, Gulab Nabi Azad passed a statement while addressing the issue of population control. He stated that ‘When there is no electricity; then there is nothing else to do for people, but to produce babies!’
